Choose the physical pack first
Begin with the agreed product and how you want it presented. The packaging offer includes white and black HDPE jars, transparent PET jars and flexible packs. Suitable capacities, closures and materials are selected for the project; not every combination belongs to every product.
Match the pack to the product. Omega-3 Oil comes in 250 and 500 ml bottles. Your label artwork is prepared for the selected bottle. Sachets in the catalogue are described for soft chews, not as a universal format for every recipe.
Decide what the design needs to do
A standard jar can carry your own label design. Flexible packaging can offer a different surface for your brand. Decide which information must be easy to find and how the product should sit alongside the rest of your range.
Full-colour print, transparent film, matte or gloss surfaces, soft-touch, embossed details, spot varnish and metallic effects can be discussed. Select finishes to suit the material and design; they are not interchangeable additions to every pack.
- Which pack type and overall appearance suit the product?
- Which brand assets and label text are already available?
- Which finishes are essential, and which are preferences?
Prepare artwork for the agreed format
Request the label requirements and dieline for the selected pack before finalising the layout. A dieline is the template that defines the shape and dimensions your artwork must fit.
You can supply your design. If support is needed, the graphic team can refine an existing project, prepare print-ready files or develop a new concept. The scope of that support is agreed with the team. Assemble a compact handover with:
- Logo files, brand guidelines and existing artwork, where available.
- The exact product and pack reference, with the current dieline.
- Proposed label copy and the language versions needed.
- A list of open decisions, including any design or file-preparation support required.
Review a complete presentation
Review the product sample, specification and label design together. Check that the artwork refers to the correct product and pack, and that names and versions are consistent. Request a test print if you want to review the physical presentation.
Confirm the product and artwork before production. Fluffy Friends Lab coordinates materials, printing, production, packing and preparation for shipment. Any later change to the recipe, pack or artwork should be raised with the team so the agreed project can be updated.
